SCHOLARSHIP
THE DEADLINE TO SEND YOUR SCHOLARSHIP REQUEST IS NOVEMBER 1 OF EACH YEAR
Find below the detailed information pertaining to eligibility and selection criteria, types of available scholarships, granting criteria, eligible courses and institutions in relation with the training workshops, and a complete list of forms to be completed when applying for a scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Scholarship applications must be sent to the QGSA’s Board of Directors by November 1
- Evidence of enrolment in an eligible course
- Completion of all required documents
- Registration to a certified training program
- Be a member of the QGSA or endorsed by a member in good standing
SELECTION
- A selection committee within the QGSA’s Board of Directors will make its recommendations in compliance with preapproved budgetary limitations.
TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS
There are two types of scholarships and each is allowed a minimum of $200:
- Academic scholarship
- Bourse de perfectionnement
ELIGIBLE COURSES
Non exclusively:
- Golf course management
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
You must provide all the following documents:
- Curriculum vitae
- A letter of reference from an endorsing Golf Club
- A letter describing your career goals for the next five (5) years within the golf industry
- A proof of enrolment in an eligible institution
- Any other document considered relevant
ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
- Assistant superintendents of a golf course
- Golf course maintenance attendant with two years of experience or more
The Selection Committee or the QGSA’s Board of Directors reserve the right to verify all provided information.
